Hi,

We arrive in Athens (from uk) early on 4th September ad have so far only
been able to find ferry etc details for lesvos (mytiline) leaving from
Pireaus, despite reading in several places (books and web) that there are
boats from Rafina to Sigri.

Does anyone know about which shipping company does these or a website that
shows them (gtp.gr and ferries.gr don't show and NEL doesn't show them on
their site so I assume it must be someone else)

If this doesn't work we'll catch one of the evening boats, but would prefer
to get going in the morning. And yes we could spend the day in Athens but we
will be tired then and prefer to do that at the end of the trip.

Our thought had been hopefully a high speed boat, 1 night in Sigri and then
on the following lunchtime-ish to our already booked accommodation the other
side of the island, bus permitting!

Would welcome thoughts - many thanks

Jo Taylor

There is one boat that goes to Sigri. It belongs to NEL. My advise.Get
the boat from Piraeus. The boat from Rafina is an old small ferry.

Sounds a good reason to go via Pireaus - do you know if there are any
morning boats?

Thanks

I think the boats leave at 7:00 pm from Piraeus. But check their site

to see. http://www.nel.gr/isite/home/1%2C1%2C0.asp
