OK...I'll bite.  Exactly how does one use these on a backpacking trip?  An
extra long extension cord?  A bicycle pedalled generator?  I guess the
propane based devices do not present such challenges, but the notion of
having to carry one or more propane tanks in addition to the 20 or so pound
device is not especially alluring either.
