Last month I was lucky enough to go on a tour of the U.S.S. Toledo
(SSN 769) nuclear attack submarine. There were a total of five ships
available for public tours as part of Fleet Week 2009 at Port
Everglades in Fort Lauderdale.
I was most interested in the sub, but the other boats on the list
included the USS Forrest Sherman, the USS Ashland, the HMCS Preserver,
and the USCGC Tahoma.

Hopefully they'll have these public tours again next year or maybe
they'll even bring back the Air & Sea Show.

I think I heard that the airshow part is being restored next year.Did
you hear anything about that???
