A doctoral student at RPI Lally School of Management needs data from
expatirates for part of her study. She has an online questionnaire at:

http://lallylab1.mgmt.rpi.edu/ibs/

Please take a moment and fill it out. It takes about 5 minutes. It applies
to both long term and short term international workers in both corporate and
the non-profit sector (including government and ngo's).
Thanks

Hi,

W e're planning a long trip.

We should start by mentioning that we are looking for advices
and cautions concerning this trip.

In late May of 2004, we intend to leave Montreal, Qc and head
west trough Ontario and along the Superior Lake to North Minnesota ( we
would like to stress the fact that we prefer scenic roads ).

Then, north to the western Ontario towards Manitoba and its
capital, Winnipeg.

Then towards Saskatchewan to Regina, Medicine Hat and Moose Jaw.

Then, south trough Montana to the Yellowstone and Teton Ntl
park.

North to the Glacier Ntl Pk and then back to Canada to Alberta.

In Alberta, we intend to visit the major attractions in Calgary and Edmonton
before heading to the rockies with it's Ntl. Parks ( Jasper, Lac Louise )
and all.

Then, to Vancouver and Vancouver Island.

Then, to USA along the Pacific coast. We intend to go inland to
visit some Ntl Parks

Naturally, we stop at San Francisco.

By the time we reach southern California, winter should be
close.

We intend to spend winter in either California, Arizona, Texas
and Florida or all of them for a period of time before heading home to
Montreal.

Our itinerary is flexible, but will follow this general pattern.
Being a photographer at heart, photos and video will be a major part of our
trip.

We are on a limited financial budget, but we still would like to
treat this trip as though it will be our last visit to those places.

We're looking for advices as to how we can spend as little as
possible while enjoying our trip. We know there are places that we should
not miss, attractions we gotta see.

We expect to spend some money in camping fees, but for any
overnight type stayover, we would appreciate advices towards saving $$$, (
Where can we park overnight free, dumping sites , ect )

What organizations should we join ( Coast to Coast ect ) to
benefit the most of our trip ?

There are events we should not miss: what are they ( ex: Calgary
Stampede ).

We have traveled a lot before ( always with our RV ), but are
still new to these areas and would appreciate input from people that have
traveled these steps before.

What should we watch for, what or where should we go OR NOT go ?

We are thinking of getting annual passes for both Canadian and
US Ntl parks.

As you can see, we have a general idea of this trip, but would
appreciate all the input we could get to improve it, call it WalMart, Flying
J or whatever.

We are mainly interested in seeing natural phenomenon's, national parks,
mountains, beautiful sceneries, and all. Cities are not our cup of tea but
still, some of them attract us for their particularities

Thanks to all of you for your advices.

To our somewhat satisfaction we can fill a report online against this company, and if there a lots of reports then action might be taken.

Guys, debit cards are a financial disaster waiting to happen if they fall
into the wrong hands. Could someone tell me why anyone would want one? We
refuse our banks' debit cards and make them issue credit cards so thieves
can't touch us.

What am I missing?

How about the fact that one needs a PIN number to use a debit card, so unless
you store your PIN with your card a thief can not make use of it.

Try Tuckamore Lodge in Main Brook, that is one of the most beautiful
places I've stayed.

I visited Newfoundland (from the Midwest) about 10 years ago and
it was a great experience. I took the ferry from N Scotia to
Port Aux Basque and then drove all the way up the west coast of
Newfoundland. Gros Morne National Park will Blow your MIND!!!
Fabulous.
I also enjoyed L'anse Aux Meadows where the Vikings landed
and spent at least one winter; artifacts prove that they were
indeed there.
Accommodations? I stayed in B&B's all the way, and all were
different, all were satisfactory. Nice to meet the people and
find out what they think, are interested in, views of
politics, etc.....

I have also been ripped off by these guys. I will be taking them to small
claims court. I will also try to get Silverman involved as well as contact
the Toronto Sun to right up a story about their scam!

I am a member of this club myself and wanted to know from anyone what kinds
of experiences they had. I have not used my 'free week' but am hesitant,
as well i can never get in touch with these people. I do know that when i
try to go through their 'affiliates' or 'partners' in other travel clubs,
they have never heard of sunrise.

what/where is the class action being taken?
