Does anybody know wether there are any agents with cheaper booking than
booking tickets from Aegean or Olympic direct?
I am booking tickets from Kavala to Chios and return and the only way is to
book a little bit from each. I was thinking maybe an agent would put
together a cheaper package than booking several seperate tickets?

All the Olympic agents I've seen in Greece simply drive the OA's ticketing
computer - I don't know of anyone doing special packages. They may be able
to bend the rules like allow more time for connections (a few days maybe) or
multi-leg journeys, but since OA and Aegean are competitors I can't see them
being too friendly about cross-ticketing.
However, if I wanted to go Kavala-Chios I wouldn't take two flights. I'd
take a bus to Thessaloniki and then catch a direct flight. Distance is
about 165km so would take about two hours I imagine. Add another 45 mins to
get to the airport from the bus station (take a taxi). Buses are on the
hour every hour if this timetable is to be believed:

OA932/933 seems to be one direct flight pair, though for some reason 932
doesn't show up in Expedia. There are some more rather odd routings here:

I assume the boat Thessaloniki-Chios-Kavala is too slow for you:

Thanks. I guess I might just as well do it myself then!

I know, but it wouldn't be that much quicker, I have checked the scedule.
But I'll check again.
They are not as odd as you think. I do not know why they are listed
since they are closed flights! Charter. Anyway, the landing in Thessaloniki
is a fuel stop only.
Maybe I'll take it once, for sigthseeing purpouses, but this time it is a
matter of spending as little time travelling as possible.
Thank you for your reply! It was very informative :)

I realise that, but I'd have thought it would be quite a bit cheaper for not
much extra time. I imagine the bus would be at most EUR20 each way. I
haven't looked at the prices, but imagine bus+flight would be cheaper than
two flights via Athens. Also connections in Athens can be long if there's
only 1/2 flights/day to each place (but maybe that isn't what happens in
your case).
BTW, there is a bus from the bus station ('KTEL') to the airport:
http://www.oasth.gr/routes/route_eng.php?route_num=78
But it doesn't say how long it takes. I'd probably allow an hour as
according to OASTH KTEL is at the north-west of town and the airport is to
the south-east. I'm confused because last time I took a KTEL Halkidikis bus
into Thessaloniki the terminus was somewhere in the eastern suburbs.
Perhaps the regional KTELs have different termini.
Fare is EUR0.50 - there should be a ticket machine on the bus.

Ah, OK. Sometimes it's possible to buy tickets on charter flights through
an agent or with the airline/tour operator direct, but that probably won't
work if it's just a fuel stop.

You sound like you've looked at the options in detail anyway so I'm probably
not adding too much new :)

Interesting. Does it do anything that Expedia et al don't? It seems to
work a bit better with Greek airports, but is the database any better?
