if you have watched tv in the last 20 years, you probably have already
seen all of this act... what a bore!!! what a RIP, too!!

Having said that- DO NOT MISS - Second City!!! It's cheaper and is
actually VERY FUNNY!

I go to the one in Chicago all the time and the LV cast is every bit
as good... if not better!! And, that's saying a lot! I bet at least
one or two of them will be on SNL very soon!

I could watch this flick a thousand times. In fact... I think I already have.
Know that water show that the eleven of them stare at near the end of the
movie? I was in Vegas a couple of weeks ago, and I was so entranced by that
same water show outside of Bellagio that I leaned over the railing and nearly
fell in.

Boy, would *I* have been embarrassed.

I don't think you get it. If someone, anyone, routinely spends money in
Vegas, they get a free room. If they do it a lot, they even get the limo to
pick them up at the airport. You don't buy this? If not, you don't know
much about how it works. You think those rooms cost them anything compared
to the regular spending of gambling money?

My cleaning lady goes to Vegas about yearly and each time stays free. Last
time they sent a limo for her. (Forget the hotel, but it wasn't Bellagio if
that makes you feel more superior...) In any case, she also gets a large
fruit basket on arrival. Hey, routinely coming back (and giving them your
money) seems to "pay off." Well, sorta anyway.

So anyway guys, honest, I'm also impressed if YOU got free rooms.

8 times in the past year (mostly on business) so the hotel seems
interested in getting us to stay at their property. We're paying for
the limo, didn't ask to have one comp'ed. Might do that for the trip
back to the airport.

We got the VIP passes through a business connection.

We've never stayed at the Castaways or even been there. We stay at the
Orleans for at least part of our LV vacations. Great rooms, good
restaurants, decent pool area, day spa and good gambling. They often have
some food acts in their showroom.There is a shuttle to the Strip. Since
you
have a car, the 1.5 miles off the Strip won't be a problem. I highly
recommend it. A sister casino, The Barbary Coast, is on the strip on the
corner of LV Blvd and Flamingo Rd. Also recommended.

few shows, see the sights & gamble a bit. A couple of people said we
should stay at Castaways. Said the hotel was older but renovated &
the rooms are quite good and they liked the buffet & restaurant.

We will have a car so that's not a problem

Looking for any comments about the place. Should we avoid it? I read
that it has filed for chapter 11. Our preferences are good clean
room, food on premises, and no big hassles. We still have time to
book another hotel.

As for the rest, who stays in one hotel all day & night.
