I could watch this flick a thousand times. In fact... I think I already have.
Know that water show that the eleven of them stare at near the end of the
movie? I was in Vegas a couple of weeks ago, and I was so entranced by that
same water show outside of Bellagio that I leaned over the railing and nearly
fell in.
Troof.
Awesome flick, very entertaining. The Bellagio light/water show is
something I make sure to see every time I am in Vegas.
I am staying at Caesar's next month. One of my friends swears that one
of the pools at Caesar's is "adults only" and that swimsuit tops are
optional. I have not found any way to confirm or deny that rumor, but I
do know that Caesar's does have more than one pool, so I guess it could
be true.

Here's how it breaks down -
Late afternoon flight on Wednesday, March 17.
Picked up at airport by limo service, taken directly to Caesar's
(room
comp'ed).
Well, my cleaning lady gets the same (limo and room comped), so I'm not
all
that impressed so far.
Yep, that sounds believable.
What... don't _most_ cleaning ladies get VIP treatment?
I don't think you get it. If someone, anyone, routinely spends money in
Vegas, they get a free room. If they do it a lot, they even get the limo to
pick them up at the airport. You don't buy this? If not, you don't know
much about how it works. You think those rooms cost them anything compared
to the regular spending of gambling money?
My cleaning lady goes to Vegas about yearly and each time stays free. Last
time they sent a limo for her. (Forget the hotel, but it wasn't Bellagio if
that makes you feel more superior...) In any case, she also gets a large
fruit basket on arrival. Hey, routinely coming back (and giving them your
money) seems to "pay off." Well, sorta anyway.
So anyway guys, honest, I'm also impressed if YOU got free rooms.
I'm skeptical that a cleaning lady has enough money to spend (lose) in
Vegas that a hotel would be interested in giving her a free room (and
fruit basket) and send a limo for her.
I go to Vegas a couple times a year and my brother has been there about
8 times in the past year (mostly on business) so the hotel seems
interested in getting us to stay at their property. We're paying for
the limo, didn't ask to have one comp'ed. Might do that for the trip
back to the airport.
We got the VIP passes through a business connection.

My Husband and I stayed there a few months ago. It was very clean and less
expensive. The remodel is good. Older folks there and the staff was very
nice. Worth staying to save on room price. I would stay again.

We (2 adults) will be in Vegas for a week starting Oct 3rd. Catch a
few shows, see the sights & gamble a bit. A couple of people said we
should stay at Castaways. Said the hotel was older but renovated &
the rooms are quite good and they liked the buffet & restaurant.
We will have a car so that's not a problem
Looking for any comments about the place. Should we avoid it? I read
that it has filed for chapter 11. Our preferences are good clean
room, food on premises, and no big hassles. We still have time to
book another hotel.
As for the rest, who stays in one hotel all day & night.
Any comments would be welcome. Thanks.

Just FYI, there have been 4,618 SASE recieved so far. I keep a pad by my
desk with little tick marks in it. Today they went out to S.F. in Sonoma,
CA, H.R. in Calgary, TS in Hong Kong, and a whole lot of other places I am
just to lazy to type the info in.
It's my pleasure to do so as well.

Last evening I went to the Rush Concert and used the Monorail to do
so!
The
ride was great and gave some new views of Vegas that I have never seen
before. After leaving the Convention center you head north on the
elevated
structure turning west from Paradise onto Twain / Sands then turning
north
on Koval. As you pass over Paradise you have some beautiful views of
the
casinos on the Strip that probobly no one has seen before the monorail
was
introduced. I would compare this system to a small version of the Bay
Area
Rapid Transit, aka BART in the San Francisco Oakland area
As I was in the MGM station I noticed a publication called "Monorail
Magazine / Premier Edition". It contains the rates at publication for
the
monorail. It is great and beee-you-teee-ful! This is a small hip
pocket
sized publication, and is the "PREMIER edition". It contains a nice
over
view of the Strip and Downtown and the overlay of the monorail and the
stations. It contains information on dining, entertainment as well
asa
Hotel Directory of all the Las Vegas Hotels, and some of the not that
well
known. This would serve as a resource guide to you when you want to
get
info on reservations, costs and availability. There are hotels in
here
that, openly, I had forgotten existed because I do not see them on TV
daily
advertising their wares. With "no" reservaition (no pun intended) I
would
give a copy of this to my friends that are going to visit Las Vegas .
I
will send you a copy of it for a self addressed stamped envelope,
~~three~~
first class U S postage stamps on the front of the envelope that is
going
back to you. It fits nicely into a #10 business sized envelope. The
publication is about 6 inches by 3 and 1/2 inches. If you live
outside
the United States just toss five first class US stamps on the front,
and
it
will go first class air.
Mail your self addressed, appropriatly stamped envelope to, Don
Strevel
,
www.mysecretvegas.com , Box 7, Las Vegas, NV. 89125 (USA) ATTN:
MONORAIL
INFO
Pease, place the postal information on the letter mailed to me just
as
shown above. There is information in the address above that allows me
to
get to your letters first and get them out possibly in that very days
mail.
Remember, the envelope you are enclosing will be going back to you.
If
you
do not have the correct delivery information on it written clearly,
you
could experience a delay. Write clearly using the "first grade block"
letters, it's just easier and makes it easier for the postman. I will
drop
them in the mail the very day I recieve them. One envelope with
correct
stamps, one free book.
In past efforts people enclosed ~multiple~ correctly stamped
envelopes
because they were going to friends in other cities around the world.
I
just
open them and toss in the publication then drop it off at the Post
Office
here in Las Vegas. If you do not fullfill your part correctly I will
be
sad
because you may not get your publication, and its "free"!!! I am
happy
to be able to do this for you, just please, do your part correctly.
The last time I did something like this I recieved ver 10,000 self
addressed
stamped envelopes and was carring trash out in large trashbags. My
home
looked like a bomb went off it it, and we found a neighbor asleep
under
a
pile of paper, hahaha, not really. He'd been trying to get out of
the
house for days!! So, please, move on this quickly.
If you enclose your email address I will send you a one time email
letting
you know that your envelope has been recieved and it is on it's way.
I
do
not store this email or any other info. it's for your comfort.
Let's set a time frame for this. Tell your friends, forward this to
anyone
in the world for their use, just have your self address envelope in
the
mail, with United States Stamps on it and post marked before August
30,
2004. Anything post marked after August 30, 2004 I will do the best I
can,
but absolutely no gurantees. If the supply here in Vegas were to dry
up
I
will send the next copy, so act quick and you'll get yours quick.
This is free, your names, your addresses and any email information
will
be
kept totally confidential. Again, if you place your email address in a
readable fashion I will send you an email letting you know that your
book
left in the U S Postal System that day. My pleasure. Just know that
I
will
not make any record of your information, anywhere. I am doing this
out
of
good will and appreciation for the Las Vegas Tourist, ...the people
that
make this town POP!!
Thanks,
Don in Las Vegas, comming soon www.mysecretvegas.com

I forgot to make a note for others in other newsgroups what is going on, my
over sight. We just opened a fantastic new monorail system here in Vegas.
It is nice, sleek and runs beautifully!! There is a commerative first issue
monorail publication that shows all the stops hotel info, what stops are
nearest what hotels, and a lot more.
If you want a free copy just mail a business size envelope with 4 US first
class postage stamps on the one inside that will be going back to you..
The one inside will be used to mail it back to you. I will mail them
anywhere in the world, just put US Postagestamps on the one going back to
you. So far, I have sent them out to every country I can think of.
Mail that SASE to Don Strevel, www.mysecretvegas.com, Box 7, Las Vegas, NV.
89125 Attn:Monorail info.
I will take your envelope, drop the mag in it, and send it right back top
you the same day. ...free, no obligation, etc... If you want, put your
email address with your return address and I will send you an email letting
you know it is on its way. The subject will be " Monorail Info". Your
email address is kept private. I do not even keep a record of it for
myself.
It is a really informative publication, and is the first, a commerative
edition, and, who knows, it might be a collectors edition someday. And then
again, maybe it is just fun to lok at! It is free for me here in Las
Vegas and I'll send you one, no obligation.
Tourism makes this city run. I am happy to help you!

Quote: Just FYI, there have been 4,618 SASE recieved so far. I keep a pad by my
desk with little tick marks in it. Today they went out to S.F. in Sonoma,
CA, H.R. in Calgary, TS in Hong Kong, and a whole lot of other places I
am
just to lazy to type the info in.
It's my pleasure to do so as well.

Just for the fun of it...today I sent out the free booklet to Chicago,
Atlanta, (sorry, Etlana:), PA, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Toronto,
Vicksburg,
MS., Miami, Corpus Christi, TX. (dominus vobiscum et cum spiritu tuo,
kneel
and genuflect and stand at the ~click, ~click)Hayward, CA, Oakland, CA,
San
Pedro, CA, Honolulu, HI. Pagopago, Samoa., Compton, CA, New York, NY,
Tokyo, Hokaido, and Nagoya , all in Japan. They also went out to a
place
i
the Phillipines that was so badly written that I just hope that it makes
it
back to them.
There was also quite a number of others that went to Rhode Island,
one
to
Moscow and one to, of all places just down the street from me right here
in
Vegas. One went to Safford,AZ and another to New Mexico. There were
others,
but I thought you'd like to know where some of the people that read and
maybe just don't participate live!! AVLV has worldwide readership!!
Way really cool!!

Last evening I went to the Rush Concert and used the Monorail to do
so!
The
ride was great and gave some new views of Vegas that I have never
seen
before. After leaving the Convention center you head north on the
elevated
structure turning west from Paradise onto Twain / Sands then turning
north
on Koval. As you pass over Paradise you have some beautiful views
of
the
casinos on the Strip that probobly no one has seen before the
monorail
was
introduced. I would compare this system to a small version of the
Bay
Area
Rapid Transit, aka BART in the San Francisco Oakland area
As I was in the MGM station I noticed a publication called
"Monorail
Magazine / Premier Edition". It contains the rates at publication
for
the
monorail. It is great and beee-you-teee-ful! This is a small
hip
pocket
sized publication, and is the "PREMIER edition". It contains a
nice
over
view of the Strip and Downtown and the overlay of the monorail and
the
stations. It contains information on dining, entertainment as well
asa
Hotel Directory of all the Las Vegas Hotels, and some of the not
that
well
known. This would serve as a resource guide to you when you want to
get
info on reservations, costs and availability. There are hotels in
here
that, openly, I had forgotten existed because I do not see them on
TV
daily
advertising their wares. With "no" reservaition (no pun intended)
I
would
give a copy of this to my friends that are going to visit Las Vegas
..
I
will send you a copy of it for a self addressed stamped envelope,
~~three~~
first class U S postage stamps on the front of the envelope that is
going
back to you.
There is information in the address above that allows
me
to
get to your letters first and get them out possibly in that very
days
mail.
Remember, the envelope you are enclosing will be going back to you.
If
you
do not have the correct delivery information on it written clearly,
you
could experience a delay. Write clearly using the "first grade
block"
letters, it's just easier and makes it easier for the postman. I
will
drop
them in the mail the very day I recieve them.
He'd been trying to get out
of
the
house for days!!
30,
2004. Anything post marked after August 30, 2004 I will do the best
I
can,
but absolutely no gurantees. If the supply here in Vegas were to
dry
up
I
will send the next copy, so act quick and you'll get yours quick.
This is free, your names, your addresses and any email information
will
be
kept totally confidential. Again, if you place your email address in
a
readable fashion I will send you an email letting you know that your
book
left in the U S Postal System that day. My pleasure. Just know
that
I
will
not make any record of your information, anywhere. I am doing this
out
of
good will and appreciation for the Las Vegas Tourist, ...the people
that
make this town POP!!
Thanks,
Don in Las Vegas, comming soon www.mysecretvegas.com

decay.
there is no way eating liver makes sense or tastes good. it's
impossible. you might as well eat some decayed mud or something.

May I share how classy this guy is. He has very high standards of service
to his guests. There is a very classy group of people that he caters to.
His past workers from his other properties wil be given priority hiring
since they know what to expect and what is expected. I mean, imagine that!
This guy is smart! He says, "Hey, these past workers of mine know whats up,
they know what is expected, and I want to keep them!" Believe me, he'll get
his wish, too. He treates his workers right, via their contract and then
some.
I have nothing but respect for this man. Literally, he is a highbrid of
the old style of a proper powerful person with the new finess of corporate
smarts that can and has called lightening down from heaven in such a fashion
that he does not move or twitch, but everyone knows who, what, and why. And
he treats people in a fashion that will cause them to walk thru fire for his
customers without even burning their feet, so to speak. I just cannot say
enough good about this man, Steve Wynn.
Classy, very classy guy.
