HUNTSVILLE — A 55-year-old Centerville man died Saturday after having
a heart attack while mountain biking with his son, police said.
Rick Bastian was biking near Snowbasin around 11:30 a.m. when he had a
heart attack and went into cardiac arrest, said Weber County Sheriff's
Sgt. Teresa Perkins. An off-duty registered nurse was able to perform
CPR until medical personnel arrived, Perkins said.
Because Bastian was in a "pretty remote location" at the time,
officials had to hike into the area so they could get him out on a
backboard, she said. He was then transported by AirMed to Ogden
Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, Perkins said.

Poor guy! I didn't think you were the sympathetic type Mike!
Sincere condolences to his friends and family.

Only if your news service is really just entertainment.
Common as flies dieing here, but hardly news worthy unless they die
somewhere noteworthy like the Kokoda Track; one for each of the last two
moths so far.
Personally I couldn't car less how they die. At lest they were active and
not a couch spud. |
