A couple decades ago some airline hijackers / terrorists were taking a
passenger every 15 minutes, shooting him and then tossing the body out on the
runway, alternating between Israelis and Americans.

One American woman wasn't killed however, played dead and survived. Years
later on an NPR interview she said doctors said she suffered brain damage but
she sounded perfectly normal to me. Very pleasant sounding even. She said she
no longer got all upset over little things anymore.

It would be interesting if not getting upset over little things could somehow
be replicated without terror or war. 99% of domestic disputes involve people
getting upset over very little things -- no sense of priorities under ANY value
system.

A sergeant knows his troops and may feel personally responsible for them.

The sergeant's name is Bob Keeshan...
You and the world know him as Captain Kangaroo.

I bet Captain Kangaroo never got upset over little things either -- the perfect
approach to child care.

I watched Captain Kangaroo but I remember very little about the show. My
favorite childhood entertainment was Uncle Remus. I preferred characters that
could be more easily pissed off.
