Many are looking for a ribozyme, But after these weeks of looking at
life as a catabolic anabolic split. I think ribozyme is hardly enough
now.

Somehow we have to start two quite complicated chemical systems and
somehow tie them together in a symbiotic working relationship.
Ribozyme looks like child's play to this.

I'm still thinking of how life could start these two. Which came first
anabolic, catabolic, or both at the same time.

The following seems to be the most likely scenario so far, for how the
catabolic anabolic pathways may have begun. I start with a sun cycle
(light and dark) of day/sun/dry cycle followed by a night/no sun/
water cycle. Remember too that the days are shorter at this time, and
the sun is less powerful.

Step One: The catabolic side was supplied by the sun in a light dark
cycle. Thus the catabolic side was supplied by the environment. It was
built in. It was supplied from the start.

Step Two: The anabolic side was a chemical response to the sun forced
energy. Condensation reactions led to the first steps of the anabolic
pathway and the first steps to the origin of life.

Step Three: The dark/night/wet side of the cycle gradually 'chemically
evolves' to replace the sun forced energy with a self catabolic engine
that may somehow involve the hydrolysis of ATP.

Now we have a loose scenario for the origin of both anabolic and
catabolic pathways.
