Right here at the crux of your argument is where it falls to smoking
wreckage.
Who can know what a definition of "true religion" would amount to in the
mind of this writer or anyone else, but on the assumption that something
called "true religion" can exist or does exist if there's one thing certain
about it, that is this: it is totally *not* scientific if it is empirical
science that is being talked about.
Kant admitted the possibility of a scientific metaphysics concerned with the
dynamics of what he called "practical reason", but this was a subject in the
metaphysics of morals, not physics, biology and observable facts.
In religion, ethics supercede all seemingly observable facts.
