....I'm x-posting this to rec.models.scale as well as to
sci.space.history. I've gotten a couple of RFIs from some OMBloggers
as to whether or not Airfix still makes the HO-scale Astronauts set
that was released around the A11 mission. For those not familiar with
the set, I've found a couple of images to help:

....I found one site offering them for sale, but they're backordered
and have been for quite some time:

....The sad part is that for *years* I'd see these sets at the Village
Hobby Shop, but never bothered to pick one up for some retarded reason
or another. And now that the VHS is gone, the only local alternative
that *might* have them is King's Hobby, and I've refused to do
business with Bob King or his snotty wife since 1977.
....But I digress. If anyone has a lead on a mail-order place in the US
that has these in stock, feel free to let me know so I can pass the
info on to those who've asked.
