So if Alaska produced that million barrels a day, our gas would be 50¢ to
62¢ per gallon cheaper.

The savings would probably be greater then 50 to 62 cents a gallon.
Maybe as much as $1.00 or more. It would be cheaper to ship crude from
Alaska to the mainland USA then it is to ship crude from Saudi to the
USA.
If Congress doesn't get off their asses and do something, and do it
quick, there could be serious problems in this country.
I heard on the radio Friday morning, (WLS AM) that there is more oil
under ground in Colorado then all of Saudi Arabia. But our friends in
Congress, the ones we vote for and send to Washington DC, will not allow
drilling in Colorado. I say it's time to vote out the incumbents in
Congress, and start all over. But it won't happen. There's too many
brain dead voters that keep punching the tickets for the same old, worn,
tired and treasonous dumbasses we call Congressmen.

transport than their buying from the near east. We in turn have to buy
ours from Venezuela, Mexico, and near east. If we opened more fields on
the north slope it would only make for more cheap oil for Japan not us.
We would increase the world supply only very slightly by producing more
on the north slope so the price would NOT come down.
It is clear your only reason for such a post is to attempt to pass the
blame for high prices on to the Dems rather than the GOP who have held
the reins for the last 8 years.
I am going to interrupt this thread with some stuff I have only recently
found out about. I have seen the following numbers in several places but
they may all actually be form the same source and that source may simply
be wrong.

We can run every vehicle in the USA using algae biofuels, and we can do it
in less time than it takes to produce a crumby million barrels a day of
oil from the ANWR. That's right. 5 to 10 years and $309B investment and
we are free of foreign oil.
