I had a friend who had way less brain cells in his brain than your
average person and so he was the most narrow-minded person I've ever
met (being unbelievably narrow-minded and having a low I.Q. go
together like a horse and carraige (sp.?).

He used to look at clocks and not be able to tell if he was running
late or early for things. His girlfriend told me this and so I noticed
when it happened. For instance, after telling me to be all dressed and
ready to go when he comes to pick me up to go to a sports bar because
he didn't want to be late for a football game, at 12:10, he casually
got out of his car about 3/4 of a block away from the sports car and
accross the street from it and had to cross to streets to get to it
and yet the game was schedualed to start at 12:00. He took his sweet
time getting out of his car and crossed the street after parking his
car with a walk and a look on his face that meant he had all the time
in the world and this was immediately after checking to see what time
it was.

Is this because with him and maybe with other incredibly narrow-minded
people, if the time is say five minutes after 10:00, or 9:39, all they
can tell is what the time is close to because anything else is a shade
of gray? In other words, if the time is 1:06 p.m., to them, it's 1:00
p.m. on the nose because since 1:06 is close to 1 PM, they can't see
the 6? That's too gray for them?
