The design architecture for a primitive desktop nanofactory is out
there now, just waiting to be built. All we need, ahem, is an
assembler. See http://www.jetpress.org/volume13/Nanofactory.htm for
the full paper.

Chris Phoenix (author of the paper) and I think this illustrates that
large-scale molecular manufacturing could be far easier and faster to
develop than many people think.

Is it possible for Sci.Nanotech users to purchase a hardcopy text of the paper?

If not, are there any companies that will take online documents and produce
hardcopy for a fee? Perhaps nicely bound, with a hard cover? I did a quick
google search, but couldn't find anything.

[ Try doing exact-phrase searches for "books on demand" or "print on demand."
Also, many photocopying shops provide both laserprinting and binding services.

Thanks for asking. CRN is making arrangements to have this paper (and
probably others) available for purchase in bound format. As soon as we
have details, which I hope will be only a few days, we'll announce it
here.

A simple PDF would be nice.

That's on its way too. I'll post a notice when it is up.

CRN's paper, "Design of a Primitive Nanofactory", is now available for
purchase in a bound, hardcopy format. To order, visit
