On the 24th April our intrepid convectioneer

complained:- "Last I heard, there is no Nobel prize in Geology."

So what are you doing, Stuart, to remedy this parlous situation, ..a
clever guy like you? Nothing? Passing the buck and leaving it to
this nut?

"The development of plate-tectonic theory certainly warrants a Nobel
Prize," said Dr. Marcia McNutt, president-elect of the American
Geophysical Union. "There is no doubt that it ranks as one of the top
ten scientific accomplishments of the second half of the 20th
Century."

Either she has to be joking, or she is a dedicated fifth columnist,
getting herself conceived, christened, and to this age ...just so she
can infiltrate the wrong side of the fence and take a swipe at
Knitting as a worthy candidate for the Nobel Prize.

Thanks for the link Don, problem with sea-floor spreading IS that it
has nowhere to spread to in the case of an alleged drift, indeed
1) Sea floors are riddled with faults and at that some of the deeper
Ocean trenches, and none indeed are closing in, but all opening
indeed )
2) The Earth crust unknwown obviously to those Bougredanes is made of
solid material, in clear of material in contact everywhere.... and
theres is a basic quality of solid rock which is it does not bulge
when pushed by alleged tangential forces ... ( no Mountain warping
possible hence ...poor sods )
3) Last and all if those Plates were drifting as those sterile
Universities Dudes think, from South Pole to North Pole ( as in the
case of the Svalbard Archipelago ) the least which could be predicted
according to the present Gogological Logic ( derived from the
Glaaaciers & Glaaaaciatonzz theories ) would be some kind of Plates
Moraines ? Hey
OBVIOUSLY overlooked in the Plate Tectonics theories indeed :
Continental Plates front moraines, Continental Plates lateral
Moraines, Continental Plates tailing Moraines, Continental Plates
ventral Moraines ! That 's a good input for the Plate Tectonic Fools
these Plate Tectonic Moraines !!!! Hey ?
I am proud therein, developping the idea under my pen, to make that
outstanding contribution to the PT Theories in the form of the obvious
Continental Plates Moraines !!!
Let go and find them then !!
May be that Nobel Prize will be for me then ?
