The owners of the Indian cricket team's includes the likes of
Bollywood actors such as Preity Zinta and multibillionaire
industrialists, such as Mallya. What baffles me is why isn't this
same opportunity for ownership available to *everyone* in India via a
public offering? I'm 100% sure that owning an entire cricket team is
a very lucrative investment, and if this is true capitalism, then
everyone should have the opportunity to invest and be a part of the
earnings.

The same trend is also in the USA where none of the major professional
baseball, football, or basketball teams are floated on a stockmarket.
Instead, the ownership of these franchises is only available to
certain insiders and VIPs. These capitalists have the pricing power
to charge $100s per ticket, $30+ for parking, $100 for jersey, and
tons for memorabilia. However, the public, while we're getting
fleeced at these exorbitant costs, can't be on the *other* side of
capitalism as owners.

This is wrong and it should be stopped.
