Hello !

I'm looking for two fractal programs, both unavailable online !!

One is Quat, by Dirk Meyer, which used to be hosted at
www.physcip.uni-stuttgart.de/phy11733/quat_e.html

That page is no more, and that freeware program has also gone in the
wind.

Another one was a commercial program, called Fractal Draw Pro version
2.5, which used to be at http://www.fractaldraw.com/download/fdpsetup.exe

Unfortunately the company producing that software, fractaldraw.com has
closed shop.

If you have any of the programs, would you kindly share them with me,
please?

Thank you !!

Those webarchive.org links all seem to point back to the
uni-stuttgart.de server. The download links don't work.

All the best....

The other day, when I got the link, I went up and successfully
downloaded, via www.archive.org, all 4 versions of Quat. If anyone
wants them, I can put them on my site and let people download them.

Thank you all again !!

And oh, about Janus Fractal --- On Feb 8th of this year, someone
posted a message about Janus Fractal.

(please read http://groups.google.com/group/sci.fractals/msg/a03aa4b6745566b5?dmode=source
)

I tried the megaupload links, both of them, and unfortunaely was told
that the file couldn't be found.

Hmmm....

That would be great if you can establish a download site. I, too, was
unable to grab these via webarchive.org.

The following web page contains a number of links to the Fractal Draw
Pro 2.5 program:

http://www.soft-new.com/process.phtml?action=alt&id=1518

The first 10 or so, linking to a file of 335K downloads an installer
which downloads and installs the version you seek. How you would
register the program, I have no idea.

Many thanks for the links. I just wanna try it out, and if I like it,
will try to contact the author, and if that isn't possible, will try
to buy/steal/borrow serial numbers from the Net community. <wink>

What to do? It's an abandonware !!!
