is create a shortage of money to fix the roads!!

Suspending the federal gasoline tax for the summer is nothing more than
political pandering and would not lower retail gasoline prices. Every
reputable economist has said that it would not work primarily because it
would increase demand, pushing prices to where they would have been anyway.
The only effect would be to divert about $18B that would have gone into
infrastructure maintenance to the bottom lines of the oil companies. |

As soon as price pressures ease a bit, taxes should be raised.
The cents per gallon could be swapped with a percentage rate. |

The fuckers here in New Mexico are still driving their SUVs and huge
pickups 90-100 mph up and down I-25. Bunch of fucking assholes. |
