Dear Garry,
That CBM ( coal bed methane ) is the infamous Firedamp of old and is
not trapped in the coal ...although present & percolating through it
indeed .
The True Geology demonstrates that coal originates from Oil domes
breaking at the occasion of Earth Upheavals & rising then to the
surface in 3 distinct cases ... I

Later when coal mines are in explotation & then in case of Quakes
( and I have well documented cases of the direct relation firedamp
accidents following quakes indeed,)  the ombilical gets active again
and Methane rises  from the original domes to the surface  & spread in
coal mines as firedamp ... with the consequences all know.
