#14 What is Dystonia ; new book: "How the Mind Works; Brain as a Radio-
Receiver/TV theory"" by a_plutonium
I hope I have the correct numbering and that #14 was the last time I
wrote on this book, back in 2007.
I never know when I catch a new and good idea about any of the book
topics I have written on, and to
further expand those books. So let me try to describe the situation
that occurred a couple of days ago
and I have procrastinated in posting. Good ideas usually come to me in
the morning when wakening
and having had full rest or after and during taking a shower or bathe.
But this idea came to me in a
low frequency stream when I was tired from the day's worth of work.
It is difficult to catch the mind, how it works, in action, but this
thought I was able to catch. I was reflecting
on last Saturday (2 days ago) about a situation and my mind saw the
situation geometrically. I saw the
scene that was being carried out but I did not have the vocabulary
words that would describe the scene.
I did not have the concept of "incident" to form the verbal expression
of the geometrical scene which already
passed through my mind. And it took me some minutes to verbalize the
scene which already transpired.
This is the verbal description of the scene: "Your response was not
appropriate for the incident"
So I caught my mind in action in a passing thought. I saw this thought
geometrically but did not have the
words such as "incident" to describe the thought.
This tells me that thoughts are rooted deeper than vocabulary words or
concepts that the words denote.
But most important of all about this thought was that thoughts are
duplicated, which indicates that thoughts
do not come as a byproduct of chemistry or chemical reactions as the
source of "the mind". Since thoughts
are duplicated indicates that thoughts of the Mind and the Mind is a
physics phenomenon, not a
chemistry phenomenon.
And for a thought to be duplicated, first a geometrical thought and
then later a verbal word description means
that thoughts are radio messages.
Another evidence that closely follows along these same lines is when I
have a hard time of remembering
a name, I start going through the alpabet-- a, b, c, ... and often
that is able to jog my memory as to the
name of the person. And this is not just a help to me but to many
other people. So can this be another
case in point where "thoughts" come to us, not from internally in the
mind as chemical derived thoughts,
but as coming to us externally out of the body and impinging into the
brain as if the brain were a Radio
antennae? If so many of our thoughts are duplicated, first coming to
us as a geometrical haze and then
we focus on the thought and then the same thought becomes verbalized
into words. Does this look like
a case of Radio messages? And as for the memory help of going through
the alphabet, we already have
a geometrical picture of the person and by alphabet letters we are
attempting to make the Radio reception
better tuned to the station -- Nucleus of the Atom Totality where all
thoughts in all animals comes from.
Summary: the argument that Mind and thoughts and memory is chemistry
and chemicals sloshing around
in the brain to produce those thoughts is suspect. A better
explanation of thoughts since they seem to
come in duplicates is that thoughts are Radio wave transmissions.
