Here's a concept! How about redirecting all the energy in this group
wasted on flaming each other and arguing over who's statistics are
right towards a concerted group effort to find sustainable solutions
to the worlds energy needs.
We are stronger if we work together.
So lets define a goal here:
There are may untapped sources of energy available to us, many have
in the past been over looked due to the inefficiency of our current
methods of conversion to mechanical motion or electricity.
Can any of you think of ways to improve the production of electricity,
or methods of converting these sources to mechanical energy in order
to take advantage of the following potential sources of energy?
1.) Low head hydro from:
A.) small streams & rivers
B.) tidal action
C.) wave action
2.) Solar:
A.) passive collectors
B.) concentrators
C.) Lake or Sea thermal differentials
3.) Wind
A.) direct conversion
B.) thermally derived currents
We can make a difference by reducing our dependency on fossil fuels &
other polluting energy sources. We need to do this so our children &
their children .... ect. can breath clean air & have a chance of
surviving in relative comfort in the future.
Any body up for this effort?
Lets kick some ideas around & who knows we may be able to come up with
some ideas that will work
We may not get rich from it, but we can make a difference!
Please remember:
The dumbest question is the one that wasn't asked.
Dumb questions are forgotten long before dumb mistakes.
Do we want our progeny to think of us as Dumb ancestors that didn't
care enough to leave an environment they can live in?
So lets see some What if's out there.
No one has found any other biospheres like Earth, so if we screw this
one up we are all S.O.L. |

All of us pollute the world, use all resources. World that we can live
keep alive us. But people are very insensitive. Think that, 48e18
(4800000000000000000) Joule energy is used in the world. If a person
lift a 1 lt water 48 billion time, he will use 48e18 Joule energy.
Case is very very serious. So we are supposed to search renewable
energy right away. |
