Well, Petra seems to have vanished after the failure of her
extensive "forecast" list. It's pretty bad when you make that
many forecasts and not one of them hits. Even a blind squirrel
finds an acorn now and then.

But where are the rest of the forecasters? They always seem to
forecast earthquakes for areas that are notably earthquake prone,
like California, kind of like shooting fish in a barrel; of
course, even then can't hit a fish. But how come no one ever
manages even an approximate prediction for these earthquakes that
keep happening in places that don't have many earthquakes, like
that one in England a while back or, obviously, this morning's
shaker in southern Indiana?
