Hey,

I have noticed that there are two posts recently made on usenet that
say they are from me, they even show up in my google groups page - but
I didn't write them. I attempted to flag them as phoney, but I find
it very troubling.

This has never happened to me before, I didn't even think it was
possible to spoof someone in this way.

Anyone have any idea how this could be done and more importantly how
to stop it?

Its something that if left unaddressed marginalizes whatever I say.
Because;

1) if I do nothing - then another can post any damn thing as me he
wants
2) if I change my online name - then people who know me as that
person can't find me
3) if I announce publicly that I'm being spoofed, then no one knows
for sure if its me writing

so, I guess I have been failed by Google, and the those who don't want
me to have a fair and honest forum to speak my piece, have won.

Ah well.

The easiest solution is to simply remove the posts as soon as they
appear - since it's your screen identity, you have the option of doing
it through Google, and Google is 95% of Usenet........I don't even
post to this group but Greg Morrow has been spoofing my screen
identity on here for a long time...........Btw, you can always get a
hold of Greg at:

Gregory Morrow <gregorymorrow at earthlink.net>

Send him a nasty email...........

If anyone wants to see if you actually wrote a particular post, they'll
probably just compare the headers. It's pretty hard to spoof all of them,
so the fake will just be plonked.

I wouldn't sweat it too much, I think most readers know your writing

Actually Jack, Google carries less that 15% of the total newsgroups on
Usenet. Googles focus is largely on the newsgroups that they have
decided to archive for one reason or another. Mostly they archive the
"Big 8" newsgroups, with only a very limited number of the "alt"
groups and other Usenet domains.

Also, Google has no ability to delete posts once they are posted on
Usenet newsgroups. Google make no pretence of the fact that when you
read newsgroups on Google, you are not actually reading Usenet, so
they call everything the pick up from Usenet as a "Google Group". When
you post to a newsgroup using Google, Google sits on the post for an
undisclosed period of time and during that time you can delete it from
Google.

After that hold time expires, it is then passed on and posted to the
selected Usenet newsgroup, where it will remain under it expires in
accordance with the latency time of each particular news server (of
which there are, or were, thousands). Posts on Usenet generally cannot
be deleted because the vast bulk of news machines (Usenet servers)
refuse to recognize cancels (stemming from the days of the
cancelbots).

I don't know where you got that figure, but for my purposes it makes
little difference........Usenet itself was a Dinosaur YEARS

As I've said many times, such Usenet spoofing has taken place using my
account several times, of which proves that Usenet insiders (including
Google/NOVA) and/or the likes of MI5/CIA spooks and moles do exist,
and that they are not being policed by their own kind. I'll also bet
a bottom dollar they're not Muslim.

It takes a supercomputer running flat out for days, weeks or even
months in order to brake the typical password, each time.

Keep your Usenet name of "WilliamMook" or perhaps "wmh2" or "WMH2",
and then change your Usenet account password (as often as every
month), making it as complex as you can stand to deal with. This
doesn't stop MI5/CIA spooks or Google/NOVA nerds from doing whatever,
it just buys a little time before they get in.

Willie,

I am not surprised why you're being spoofed. People can't make sense of what you're saying. For instance, your numbers changed so quickly to get people to interest in your goofy idea.

Quote:
However none are show stoppers - and in the end, we believe we can get
an integrated system together for about $0.03 per peak watt.

So, here's how the new system stacks up;

new system

55% conversion efficiency to hydrogen
3.8 metric tons per hour per sq km of sunlight
$16.5 million per sq km capital cost
$5.2 million per year/sq km.
31.5% APR

current system

15% conversion efficiency to hydrogen
1.1 metric tons per hour per sq km of sunlight
$12.6 million per sq km capital cost
$1.5 million per year/sq km.
11.9% APR

Last time you said you said your cost is "$0.07 per peak watt." now you said "$0.03 per peak watt."

I am paying $0.00003 / peak watt right now with full flexibility, I can sell my house and get going quick without worrying about Solar Panels. Most people live 5-6 yrs in their house, then they sell it. It doesn't make sense to have the expensive/inefficient Solar Panels.

Forget the spoof, there is nothing you can do, you just prove yourself to be out of date.

Jack.
