Saw this advertisement which states that the polymer version of
Unobtanium is now in commercial use. There is also an "O Matter"
construction technique.
===================================================================
Oakley D3 Watch
The Oakley D3—race day performance for small wrists.
Description:
Oakley designed the D3 Watch with a smaller face and band for endurance
racers, marathon runners, and triathletes who want big-time
functionality without the bulk. Oakley designed this watch with a
continuous *Unobtainium* band for comfort and with a proprietary
software engine that logs 45 separate runs and stores 90 lap times, lap
numbers, split times, and the fastest lap time. But this isn't just a
training watch. The D3 can take all the knocks of race day thanks to its
scratch-resistant crystal and durable O Matter construction, which is
shock-resistant and ensures the watch is waterproof to 100 meters. |

Ah! So we can contruct the space elevator from 26,785,097
watch bands strung together? |
