Iron or Nickel? They are in the iron-cobalt group. Both are good
conducters of electrcity, and yet stainless steel can't be magnetized.
Why is that? Both are the large part of the Earth's core. What is their
ratio? Could the Earth having both these metals in its core
help make its dynamo turn out more electricity? Bert |

DareL Read the stainless steel can't be magnetized. Still I also read
all objects have a magnetic field. The proof that is mice and frogs can
be levitated. |

Strictly speaking Bert, that isn't true. All materials can be magnetised.
Some types of stainless steel aren't FERROMAGNETIC, but others are.

There are several types of stainless steel. Some of them can be magnetised,
some can't (if you restrict your definition of magnetisation to
ferromagnetism).
Still I also

I can't say I've ever seen a levitating mouse or frog. I have place a sheet
of aluminium vertically in the bore of an MR scanner, and watched it fall
over very slowly due to the induced eddy currents.
DaveL
ps, talking of mice, I must get a new one, mine has a dodgy left button,
which keeps leading to empty replies! |

That would have to be.... the chicken. Because without the chicken, you
can't get the egg, right? |

There were eggs long before chickens existed.

More importantly what do they plant to grow seedless watermelons?

Those are hybred plants, to get seedless WM's they plant two types
together. From what I understand, one doesn't have pollen, the other
does and the WM's come from the pollenless one. Plus they are not
truly seedless, the seeds just don't form fully, but a few can be
found if you eat enough of them.

One thing we a pretty sure of,and that's Hydrogen and Helium came out of
the original big bang. These two light elements were needed to create
supernova's that exploded to create the heavy elements.Once you have
dust in the nebular clouds gravity can evolve stars, and galaxies much
faster, and also us. What came first the chicken or the egg
can only be answered by saying dust particles . Bert |
