I noted today in the news group of this hierarchy that the medical review
panel has been formed, however I think that a lot of the problems Astronauts
have is very similar to many other people who are goal orientated, be they
sports or whatever.
Once you have lived your dream, as it were, achieved your goal, what then?
In the limbo land when you do not know if you will fly again, or if you will
just be doing the ground based jobs, you will, no doubt get depressed and
look on other aspects o f your life for fulfilment and lets face it,
excitement. Its so easy to lose focus.
Quite how you motivate a person in this 'its all probably over' mindset I
have no idea, and sadly I'm not so sure a team of medics and military folk
will either!
