Is this "normal"?
Twice, it seems gum tissue has simply "come out". I say gum tissue due
to the coloration, heat and "feel". The product my dentist put in
afterwards was a fabric covered in clove oil which disappears after a
time. What I discovered in my mouth looked *nothing* like this.
My gums where this molar was previous to the procedure have reduced so
as to seem to my jaw bone, itself.
On the internal side of my gums, there is a white area. The scabrous
area to the middle is a combination of blackish-greenish-reddish..
well, scab appearance. This white area concerns me. Could this be my
bone???
The swelling has lessened considerably, although to open my mouth
enough to eat is quite painful, and chewing is almost not possible.
The tooth was pulled one week ago. The ache is localized to the
articulation of my jaw itself, with a smaller area of pain descending
to the area of the tooth.
Is loss of gum tissue normal? What of this white area??? What of the
pain? I've taken all my medication and still have enough pain to
prohibit me from eating. Is this normal, also? It doesn't feel like
dry-socket. (I've had that before with my wisdom-teeth extraction).
