I had one student at a US college try to get me to do a project for him
-- he offered to pay my rate even. Only he hung up and never called
back when I asked him for his advisor's name.

Strange environment you live in. I mean an environment where you can get a
diploma by presenting the work of others. You may become a good politician
or a bad manager this way but you'll never become an engineer. Not even a
bad one.
You can get a lot of help from this group if you:
- Specify the technical problem as good as you can.
- Tell what you've done and found yourself so far.
