Yes, one day I will get organized.
Every paper will be in its designated file, every one of my belongings
neatly tucked away in a duly-cataloged drawer or box.
I will go to my doctor, dentist, and optometrist for all the
recommended appointments according to my carefully-detailed repeating
calendar.
My car will be taken in for oil changes, tune-ups, inspections, and
smog checks with perfect efficiency and regularity.
My family and social life will be similarly perfectly planned. Holiday
gifts and cards will be sent flawlessly and without exception, and I
will attend all concerts, gatherings, plays, and films that are
carefully chosen to ensure highest quality.
And my career will be a textbook case of efficiency and professionalism
(quite a contrast to the basket case it can sometimes be these days.)
My diet will be cautiously and intelligently planned, and my workout
sessions will mimic the sunrise in their regularity.
Yes, I will get organized one day. It will be ONE YEAR from today.
The fact that I said it will be ONE YEAR from today one year ago today
does not bother me, nor that I said it one year before that, nor that I
said it one year before THAT. The fact is, that one year from today I
WILL BE AN ORGANIZED PERSON, DAMMIT!!
It will be a wonderful life, yes it will. I can hardly contain the
enormity of thrill I feel in anticipating that blessed state.
Do YOU have any personal myths like mine? Myths that keep you going
from day to day? If so, why not share them with us?!
Thanks in advance...
