Can anyone explain the following:

Place an apple in a microwave oven
and after about 30 seconds
the apple expells steam from the center.
Remove the apple from the microwave
and it is only warm from the outside.

The same effect is not apparent in an orange.

That's what you get when you try to compare apples to oranges.

How does the mass of water contained within the two compare and how
is it distributed?
