This building, like most modern architecture, is a heap-o-ibeams
parody of something truly beautiful - in this case, Miss Liberty -
that it knows it can't compete with, so must mock.
Hip it may be, but beautiful it ain't. It was deliberately designed to
evoke the skeletons of those who burned there on 9/11. It is the
partially-decayed, boney carcass of Liberty.
