UK: White Leader in Euro Bid

British National Party (BNP) chairman Nick Griffin (pictured) says
he is heading for a Euro seat, reports Steve Bagnall of the Daily
Post. The contests for these seats are regional in nature, and are
based on the principle of proportional representation -- meaning
that a seat could be gained by any party having one tenth or more of
the total vote. This system has been described as far more friendly
to new parties and ideas than the sham "winner take all" so-called
democracy in the United States.
He believes he can become the pro-White party's first MEP (Member of
the European Parliament). “It has provoked outrage from anti-racism
groups and union leaders, who fear victory could be within Mr
Griffin's grasp in a climate of political apathy and low election
turn-outs. They have vowed to stop him by urging ethnic minorities
to use their votes.”
Mr Griffin said last night: "I am confident that I can be elected."
He added, of the "anti-racism" groups, "It's a very small number of
people from the extreme left opposing us."
The party's press officer, Dr. Phil Edwards, said the BNP was aiming
to put a full list of candidates forward in every region, reports
