Is it an idea not to respond on this little man.
Is it an idea only to respond if it is absolutely necessary.
I might think every layman, Otis excluded, could recognize this is out
of date rubbish.

It used to be that newsgroups had an intro FAQ, where newcomers could
be warned of such things. I don't know where ours is, or if anyone
reads it.

There is an actual FAQ, but nobody reads or maintains it. Bev posts a
warning to newcomers periodically, but I don't see it right now.
