I'm looking for a analytical method for the uantitative determination
of di-ethyl ether in denaturated ethanol
Can anyone help me |

Gas chromatography, probably subambient due to the volatility of
ether. Finding a stationary phase suitable for alcohols might be a
challenge, but I think not.
HPLC with refractive index detection.

Probably one of the non-polar porapacks would do it...

GLC on a polyethylene glycol column. The alcohol will be greatly
retarded with respect to the ether. Use di-isopropyl ether as an
internal standard. |
