Have you found that to be any better than Brat in making predictions?

Brat doesn't make predictions, he just posts hate talk. |

Liberman has some common sense and realizes bankrupting the country
because some people don't like companies "making profit" is a bad idea.
Lets see how many dems defect after the democrat losses in VA and NJ
next week.

It is not interesting at all. It is merely the latest attempt at
convincing people that the rightards are going to win the big game.
There is no actual data behind the picture.

Joe LIEberman is a lying pig supported by the Insurance lobby. In
reading his pig dung assessment and lies concerning his rationale for
being against a Public Option, it is made clear once again that
supposedly competing private insurance companies CANNOT contain runaway
medical costs. LIEberman's reference to the "cost shifting" is an
admission of this fact. As Medicare controls waste and over-billing
the providers SHIFT the cost to the insurance companies who just pay it
and shift it to the employers who pay it and shift it to the employees.
The private insurance companies have never controlled costs and never
will. LIEberman is well aware that a public option would dramatically
expand the nonopsony power of government to control the increasing
costs and FORCE the insurance companies into line in that the shifting
of costs would become too extreme for the private companies to just
"pass along". They too would have to limit their payments to providers.
This is the INTENT of the Public Option and it is the way in which the
Public Option will control the mushrooming costs.
Do you suppose the Democrats have the balls (should I even finish this
question?) to strip him of his gavel and kick him out of the caucus if
he votes against cloture?

Yes... They have no choice at this point. I am even hopeful that they
will grow some REAL stones and do this:

Lieberman is an attention whore.
He's only doing this to feel like he's important. If others follow him
they will be tarred with the same stink that is about the glom onto good
'ol Joe.
If Joe (or anyone else) wants to go down in history as having prevented
the best chance in decades of getting real health care change in
America, then they will pay a very high political price for that. One, I
would bet money they are not willing to pay.
We will have a Senate bill with a real public option sent to conference
by mid Nov.
Then expect the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas to be when Obama
comes to the American people with an all out full court press toward
passage of the conference bill.
Some parts of this plan will be in effect before the mid term elections
in 2010.
Democrats and Obama will go down in history for finally getting America
to join the rest of the civilized world in caring for its people. |
