Plant Physiology Scientist
Qualifications
Seeking a PhD level researcher to join our Herbicide Tolerance team in
the Biotechnology organization. The successful candidate will have a
strong background in plant physiology/biochemistry with a minimum of 5
years of relevant laboratory experience.
The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience in plant
secondary metabolism, stress tolerance, weed science and/or herbicide
mode of action. The successful candidate must have hands-on experience
with basic molecular techniques such as vector construction, RNA/DNA
and protein isolation and characterization. Experience in
characterization of transgenic plant is also desired. The individual
must have demonstrated success working in a team based environment
with excellent oral and written communication skills. Plant Physiology

Um...what salary range? Is this a permanent or temporary slot? Fringe
benefits? Pension plan and vesting period (if a permanent job)?
Publication (and authorship) priviledges? Rights to inventions as
inventor?
Since no mention of supvervisory responsibilities, this looks like a
glorified underling technician job (especially that part about
"team-based" environment).
Sounds like shit to me.
