Not being an optometrist or an ophthalmologist, I found this piece
virtually useless. It seems like the idea was for a monkey see, monkey
do procedure. I expect that most ODs or MDs using such an instrument are
smart enough and curious to want to know more.

Before watching the video, I was pretty sure that an ophthalmoscope was
used to enable looking into an eye while compensating for any distortion
or magnification of the eye's optical system. I did learn that there was
the ability to change light color and beam size, but gogt no real
motivation on situations that would make such capability useful.

Personally, I would have been better off getting a good description of
the optics and mechanics and figuring out how to use the instrument
myself. The purpose of a good teacher is to transfer knowledge that is
not easily obtained without help.
