Hi everyone, I have two missing upper tooth (number 3 and 14, based on this tooth numbering scheme: http://dentalimplants-usa.com/generalin ... aghram.jpg) and I'd like to replace them with implants.

I'd like to know my options before I go to my dentist. What material I should ask for, procedure etc.
Could someone tell me the best way to go about this?

Thanks for your help.
Martin L.

Giving you options here involves some speculation. Why do you want to
know your options BEFORE you go to the dentist? The dentist will make
recommendations based on YOUR clinical condition. They may involve
fixed bridges, removable bridges, implants. In the location of your
missing teeth, the implant option may require bone grafting and perhaps
sinus lift. This and many other considerations will only be clear after
appropriate exam and x-rays, so let the dentist do his/her job. If you
don't like what you hear, get another opinion.

Thank you Steve, I will speak to my dentist and see what she has to say. I just wanted to know how this procedure is done and what is the best way to go about it, so I know my options. My dentist is great, but from time to time she just decides to do something and does not consult much with me.

Anyhow, you've said, that the procedure may involve fixed bridges, removable bridges, implants and similar.
Can you tell me what you would recommend? What is currently most recommended method for tooth replacement?

The one which is most appropriate for the unique clinical situation you
present with.
