[quote:40b484a117]Here's a simple analysis you can do yourself. Open a book and
pick the 1st random phrase you find.

I will use "this has been a very big problem in the past"

Tally how many times my answer was more in context than the control
phrase.

Can I win the million dollar paranormal prize?
"... with the background of wailing vendors"
"this has been a very big problem in the past"

When will Herc die?
"... with a cheap little gun" "this has been a very big problem in the
past"

How do you know that you are Adam?
"... I dunno"
"this has been a very big problem in the past"

What can Adam do that would qualify for the JREF million dollar prize?
"Make them stop"
"this has been a very big problem in the past"

Why are you being tortured by the government?
"... I'm a witch"
"this has been a very big problem in the past"

Will Megan Fox win the Oscar for best actress in 2010?
"...in Tokyo Fox and I had adjoining suites"
"this has been a very big problem in the past"

Will Edmond Wollman ever pay back Susan Boyle?
"..He never calls the place"
"this has been a very big problem in the past"

7 out of 7. I defeated 1 in 128 odds. (Just with a simple 2 option
analysis).

Now where's my blue ribbon!

That's a clever test. I never thought of that.
I'm not sure whether no. 1 passes the test, though.
"With the background of wailing vendors" doesn't make a whole lot of sense
to me, and I think you said it didn't to you either. "This has been a very
big problem in the past" seems to me a better fit... many psychics have
failed Mr Randi's test in the past, often because he has deliberately made
problems for them. I don't know if anyone saw a documentary called
Extraordinary People - The Million Dollar Mind Reader, where Randi quite
blatantly did his best to rattle the psychic, and succeeded.
The chances of getting 6 or more out of 7 are 15 in 128, or about 1 in 8.5.
Not bad, but not brilliant. Better luck next time.
By the way, who's Adam and what's he got to do with it? I couldn't make it
out from your website.

Try it with a few random quotes you get yourself. As long as the quote isn't a
blatant yes or no you should get 7/7 some of the time. The calculated odds I break is a
minimum odds due to the simplistic statistical method, some of them could be
selected from 10 or 100 random options. 1 in 10^7 it's possible that some judges could
find the matches.

A vendor sells goods, I'm not sure if it literally covers companies that run competitions
but I saw it as "I win the million dollar paranormal prize with the backround of wailing
skeptics who offered prize money". I said on the video "I guess that's a hit".

What's good about the 2 JREF questions is they are both strongly opinionated
"you will win while they weep" and you will qualify to "make them stop".

Adam as in Adam and Eve, I'm the only person on Earth who has a chance at Randi's million $.

I get 8 in 128. (1/16). 7 ways to get one wrong plus one way to get all right.

Not about me.
You must not know the answer.
You must be interested in finding the answer.

Politics, current events, religion, personal, maths, the universe...

I need about 5 questions to make a video of me channeling the answers.
JREF is too stubborn to ask any.

You're right. I was taking each of the 7 ways to get one wrong and 6 right
as 1/64 because that is the chance of getting 6 out of 6 right. This is
nonsense of course. Glad somebody pointed that out. I still don't know why
this thread is posted to sci.math, but I'm lucky it is!

That's easy: decrease his credit limit.
