The Darker Side of Deception
Jim Kirwan
9-19-9
For instance the real reason for the invasion and occupation of Iraq
came from a desire to stop Saddam's attempt to eliminate the use of
petro-dollars in the purchase of oil-worldwide. This was the real
'national security' aspect of the War on Iraq that had absolutely
nothing (publicly) to do with our declared reasons for attacking that
country. Iran has also embraced the exact same desire, to force an end
to the use of petro-dollars (US currency) whenever this involves the
purchase of oil & gas in the world markets. It is this reason that
lies behind Israel's unwavering and continued attempts to bomb that
nation and through sanctions to cripple the Iranian economy. The proof
that there are no weapons-of-mass-destruction is no more valid, inside
Iran, than was that same claim when it was made against Saddam, inside
Iraq.
Meanwhile the very real dangers of allowing a megalomaniacal rogue
state to maintain a vast nuclear arsenal; outside the Global-Nuclear
Regulatory Agencies constitutes a real-risk of global-war that will
destabilize the planet and the community of nations that live here.
"Arab states in the United Nations nuclear assembly on Friday won
narrow approval of a resolution urging Israel to put all its atomic
sites under the world body's inspection and join the Non-Proliferation
Treaty.
Israel deplored the measure for singling it out while many of its
neighbors remained hostile to its existence, and said it would not
cooperate with it.
Defying the United Nations on the issue of weapons of mass
destruction? Wasn't that one of the reasons Bush cited to bomb Iraq
into rubble?
And the resolution hardly singled Israel out. Iran is ALREADY a
signatory to the NNPT and does allow inspections, even though they do
not have a weapons program." (1)
On another front the US tried to implement a National ID Card on
5-5-2005. However the legislation was another unfunded mandate from
the government that left the financing of that program to the
individual states that were both broke and hostile to the idea of
'Federal Control over identification of their states' citizens. As a
consequence the initial attempt to force Americans to accept a federal
National ID card that would eliminate any remaining issues where
privacy was concerned-was thwarted. (2) |
