Hi,
I am about to finish my phd on computer vision... I have been working
on recognizing shapes from images/videos...
But I don't think I really like the subject. I am needing strong will
to work on it...
Instead, I find myself reading about new web technologies, wiki like
collaboration technologies, web based distance education...
Becouse of that I am thinking about changing my subject from computer
vision to st. on the lines above... And thinking of doing this by
doing postdoc on this new subject.
But I know that attaining the level of knowledge that I have in the
old subject in the new subject would be very time consuming... Also
the subjects I named may not be good alternatives for academic
research...
Is is a good idea to try to change your subject on postdoc? Did any of
you tried to change the subject? When would be a good time?
thx... |
