This feat would have to rank with Sassure's "prediction' of
laryngeals, since I had only vaguely heard of Bangani while I was
formulating my theory.
I hope Indian linguists have the funding to collect any other archaic
dialects of this type that are still out there before they get
absorbed into Hindi. |
