It has nothing to do with his politics.
Is there something wrong with his arms, maybe from the time he's
constantly talking about when he was a POW? They seem stiff and
short, out of proportion to the rest of his body.
I realize his whole body is stiff most of the time, probably due to
his age, but the way he holds his arms just seems odd on television.

Thanks, both of you.
I kind of figured it might be a result of that time, but did wonder if
what I saw was just my imagination.

Copied from internet:
John McCain's gimpy arms are the result of 5 and 1/2 years in a North
Vietnamese prison camp, during which time he suffered multiple fractures to
his right arm and a dislocated left shoulder. McCain also had a bayonet
shoved in his left leg, but that injury does not seem to effect his current
debate performances.
--------
Yeah, I guess that'd explain it.
