Heads up. -
Melnor Model 3015 Aqua-Timer (Home Depot availability).

Got ours less than a month ago. Pretty nice packaging, outdoor LCD
and all. -- and that's not so easy to do, as many of you probably
already know..

Said it would last 3 months on a single 9-volt alkaline battery.
Lasted barely 3 weeks.

Opened the gasketed battery compartment - device full of water!!
Battery voltage read 0.812 volts. Now, can't find receipt, etc....
I'm hoping we just got a dud, but you would think a device that
purposely places water and electronics in the same space would be
better engineered.

Guess you can't judge a water timer by its membrane decal.
