Video Released Of Rapid Alzheimer's Improvement After New Immune-based
Treatment

New research into the treatment of Alzheimer's disease reports
improvement in language abilities using a novel immune-based approach.
A video accompanying the research, published today in the open access
journal BMC Neurology, documents rapid language improvement within
minutes of using this new treatment.
Building on previous work by the same authors, published in BioMed
Central's Journal of Neuroinflammation, this study focuses on the
effect of the anti-tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) drug,
etanercept, on measures of verbal ability.
TNF-alpha, a critical component of the brain's immune system, normally
finely regulates the transmission of neural impulses in the brain. The
authors hypothesize that elevated levels of TNF-alpha in Alzheimer's
disease interfere with this regulation. To reduce elevated TNF-alpha,
the authors utilized a unique perispinal delivery method to administer
etanercept.
The new BMC Neurology article provides preliminary evidence that the
disrupted neural communication seen in Alzheimer's disease may be
reversible.
According to the lead author of the study, Edward Tobinick, "There are
limitations to the data presented; the clinical trial was open label,
and not controlled. These caveats notwithstanding, the scientific
rationale for the further investigation of anti-TNF-alpha treatment of
Alzheimer's disease is compelling. In addition, family members,
independent neurologists, and other independent observers have
confirmed the clinical, cognitive, and behavioral improvement noted".
Disruption of language function, such as the ability to find words, is
a common symptom in advancing Alzheimer's disease, and this BMC
Neurology article is one of the first to suggest the possibility of a
new therapeutic approach that may address these symptoms.

Dear Velcro,
What you are putting yourself through over Ironhead's chronic moronic
off topic cut and paste is not worth the aggrevation. Your blood
pressure has got to be sky high when you read his drivel and he loves
it. Somebody is paying attention to him. You can see that happens so
seldom that even when someone is cordial to him, he doesn't know how
to deal with it. It's kind of sad in a way, how alone he must be and
always will be. No social skills and no redeeming human values. Why
else would he post so much and find he has to reply to himself for
companionship. No one wants him around, he must have no place else to
go and nothing else to do, so he forces himself in here and thinks he
contributes something useful and belongs. It really is sad.
I usually tell people to ignore people like Ironhead and they'll go
away, but that doesn't work on his solid iron head. So it's a lot
better just to pop him in a killfile and let him be the only audience
for his own nonsense, responding to himself because nobody else cares
what he's got to say. And you sure don't have to warn others about
him, one exchange, and you know what kind of guy he is.
Please don't get the idea I am trying to tell anyone what to do. But
you have to ask yourself if Rust-for-Brains is really even worth the
effort to touch the keyboard to type "Go get f**ked". You know any
post by him,. even within someone else's thread, is going to be the
same garbage. It's just second nature for me to skip anything with his
name on it, but I sure wouldn't lose any sleep about putting him in a
killfile either. He's not even worth trading intellectual jibes with.
It's like fighting an unarmed man with a howitzer. That may sound kind
of mean, but it's the truth.
