Seismic Design to Eurocode 8
18-19 September 2008

Imperial College London in collaboration with the Society for
Earthquake and Civil Engineering Dynamics (SECED) are pleased to
announce a two day professional training programme on Seismic Design
to Eurocode 8. It combines a presentation of the Eurocode 8
provisions for steel and concrete buildings (including their
foundations) with two parallel design workshops, one focusing on
geotechnical aspects and the other on structural design, providing
participants with hands-on experience of applying the code.

The course will be of value to all civil and structural engineers who
would like to acquire a practical appreciation of the design and
analysis of structures for earthquake resistance, with emphasis on the
design according to the provisions of Eurocode 8.

We would appreciate it if you would pass on these details to
colleagues or others whom you think may be interested.
