if you pay a lot more taxes then .gov can make gas 'free'. but why
stop there? with a higher proportion of your income paid in taxes you
could have 'free' food as well. heck, why not give all the money you
earn to .gov and let them give you everything for free, just like
these guys?

The price of gas is high because of various factors and Iraq isn't
an important one.

Mostly it's problems of increased demand and
questions about supply.

Please don't shatter my carefully constructed opinion of you that you
may actually use your brain.

Would you like to decide what to do if Iran says they want to
wipe Israel off the map and they demonstrate they have nuclear weapons.

Actually, the price of gas is doing more to implement the change
to alternate fuels and alternate energy than anything else, the worse
thing that could happen to the alternate liquid fuel programs is for
gasoline to drop below two dollars a gallon.
