In Discovery magazine Max Tegmark says that only math(s) exist. Not
that math describes reality, or governs reality, but that math, and
math alone, "is" reality.
If this is so, you ask, what does this math act on? How does it make
solid rocks and consciousness and physical laws?
If two mathematical equations can exclude each other then here is a
limitation, just like the limitation that exists when I try to put my
hand through a wall. This limitation may be percieved as "something".
Or perhaps limitations have to do with dimensions---an infinite number
of them. An equation that creates a dimension is creating something
that is pure math and has limitations. Two or more such dimensions
(which are pure math) manifest the limitations---and that is the start
of a "physical reality." IMHO a TOE will contain an explanation like
this which will show how just math alone can create reality. |

Where math is certain it is abstract entity. Where it applies to the

In either case, mathematics is a human made artifact. Nature does not
care about human mathematics. Nature is what it is.
Math is great to describe or predict the "numbers" that will occur.
but when it come to the cause, the mubers can not "do" anything
alone.
Hence the reason people try to come up with a theory better than
Einsteins, but with an actual cause for all effects, especially gravity.
but sadly, some have diverted to "just another math cause" type theory.
and even if all the numbers match, if it has no physical causes, it is
again, just another noble prize for a highly accurate "psychic" that
predicts
with math.

John Wheeler who died recently said that equations were eternal but
that the universe flies. I think the universe flies by the math of
Gamma which was introduced by Einstein by the Relativism of mass and
time in acceleration.

Descartes walks into a bar.
The bartender walks up to him and says, “Would you care for a
drink?”
Descartes replied, “I think not.” and disappears.

Descartes walks into a bar.
Descartes: Ouch!
[Thanks to the late and GREAT Tommy Cooper for that one!]
Was Descartes uncoordinated as a child?
He, and others much like him, never seem to outgrow it. |
