Well, it is about translation, but first I need to _understand_ what they
mean Wink
Here is the sentence (wider context is a football match (as in: soccer) and
some related, presumably pre-match activity.

"Host introduces and explains the activity with the coloured bibs/couloured
La-Ola on the pitch and asks the spectators to join!"

I am puzzled at what they actually show on the pitch with "coloured bibs /
coloured La-Ola". Is it supposed to be some synchronized performance where a
group of people dressed similarly and / or with flags move together and form
a pattern, logo, slogan, etc?
Any ideas would be appreciated!

Take a look at the Wikipedia article at

<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audience_wave> - this explains what the
Mexican wave or La-Ola is.

M:

Ola and Onda (see undulation) are Spanish words for wave. And EOC correctly
identified the associated
phenomenon. My logical guess is that the word "bib" refers to a colored
card or piece of fabric worn on the
upper chest of participants. There may be bibs of variant colors
specifically assigned to participants at particular
places along the line of a wave so it changes color as participants move in
something like a mosaic semaphore.
Certain stadiums and fans are famous for intricate card shows where the
crowd holds up different cards on
cue to create images.

Since participants doing the wave may interlock hands
with their adjacent seatmates to assure
exact sequencing, secure tethering--and to keep them
from throwing things--using a bib
instead of a card need not involve their
hands. And even if hands are not interlocked,
then keeping the arms free also allows the moving participant to better
maintain balance as they percolate, undulate,
bow or lean.
